Hannahism 12-15-08

We were driving to Aunt Becky's on Saturday for the family get-together and were behind some cars that were a little lost and being really slow. I realized that Hannah rides with me in the car way to much when she said "Come on people, MOVE IT!!"

Another for your enjoyment:

Hannah, Seth and I were at home after church yesterday while Chris was at work. Hannah started talking about Seth being born. She said, "Seth was in your tummy and then he came out." I said, "Yes he was and do you remember coming to see Seth in the hospital." Her reply -- "Yes, daddy brought me there and Ninny and Paco were there to see Seth being BORING!"

She meant BORN, but it came out BORING and I had to laugh about that one:)

Hope you enjoy!!!

Monkey update

Seth is doing GREAT!! He now has nine teeth and loves to EAT!! You cannot tell it by his weight, but the little man loves to eat!!

He definitely has a temper and is beginning to defend himself against Hannah! They have a love/hate relationship right now!!
Seth is into everything - he crawls around the house and finds any and everything to put in his mouth!

He has the greatest personality and loves to have a good time! He has the best laugh and only cries when he is hunger, dirty, or something has been taken away from him!!

We love our little Monkey Man:)

City Christmas Party

We had Chris' city Christmas party last night and had a good time with most of the shift and their spouses! Chris was up for employee of the year with the other 3 who won employee of the quarter this year. He did not win, but we are so proud of him for making the final 4:)

I did not get great pictures, but here is what I have:

Jason and his wife
Jason, Ian and his fiancee
Rob and his wife

Chris and two of the other finalists with the Mayor!

Jason won the the "OOPS" award for making a comment at a city CPR class that the South is the best and there was a Yankee in the class!!!

Rob received his 5 year service award!!

Christmas Parade

We headed down to Crowley for the Christmas parade because one of the kids babysitters was in the parade with their 4H club. Needless to say the parade was a huge disappointment, but Hannah had a blast playing and watching her dance school perform.

Hannah on the back of the Babler horse (the sweetest horse I have ever seen)!

Seth with Merilee gets his turn to ride!

Hannah with Katie and Santa

Aliyah, Hannah and Seth

Katie with Seth!! We love the Babler family and the wonderful young ladies they have raised that love our children so much - we are blessed!!

Extended family

We had a gathering with the extended family on Chris' mom's side of the family. It was a great time at Aunt Becky's house - thanks for having us Aunt Beck:)
I did not do a great job of pictures and there are no pictures of the toddlers and older kids - they were too busy running around and screaming to take pictures. Here are the one's that I did get:

Our own tiny dancer

Hannah asked to be a ballerina and we thought we would help her with her wish! She started dance classes 3 weeks ago and is loving it!! It is a mommy and me class where they do tap, ballet and tumbling. Needless to say she is not the greatest ballerina there is, but she is catching on to tap fairly quickly! She loves Ms. Angie, her teacher. There are 10 kids in her class, and some of the moms are a little over the top (they wear their own tap and ballet shoes)!

Each week, Hannah picks who will take her to class - so far mom has gone once and dad has gone twice. Below are some pictures of her headed to class. She has to wear her hair off her face (needless to say - her thin hair does not cooperate real well with that, but we try)!

Hannah with "The Boys'

What can I say? Hannah loves "the boys" - her cousins Cameron and Austin. They were over at the house recently and were having way to much fun "making sandwiches" - this is what Hannah refers to when you smash one person in between two others!

The boys were great sports and let Hannah launch herself onto them!
Hannah appears to realize she has been caught:)

They stayed like this for a while watching TV!!!

Proud parent

I had a proud parent moment the other day! Hannah's class at preschool did a project with their teacher to tell what they are thankful for. They had turkeys hanging on the door and the teacher had talked with each child to tell what they were thankful for. As I was reading the classes turkeys, they had things like "my dog, my parents, Kung Fu Panda toys, my toys, etc."

I was looking for Hannah's thinking it would probably say princesses or maybe family. When I read her turkey, it was the only one in the class that said anything like it and reminded me of what the holidays are all about.

Simply stated, Hannah is thankful for Jesus!

Fashion statements

Hannah found this scarf and had to put it on the other day. I realized looking at the picture how blue this child's eyes are! Her Daddy is going to be busy when she starts dating:) Seth has decided that the legs on his footies are optional and so I constantly find him with his feet outside!

A face only...

A face only a mom can love - and boy do I love this little man!! I do NOT however like biter biscuits and zwieback toast! Hannah was never as messy as this litle guy is! Boys are definitely a different situation from girls!!!

I must say, I am enjoying the independence of him sitting there feeding himself, but I miss him being a baby that depended on me for everything! He seems to be growing up too fast!!!

Family Dinner

We are trying to make it a point to sit down and have every dinner together when we can! This was the first time we all sat down at the same time (Seth included). Notice even Baylor got involved with dinner.

Seth now has 4 teeth on top and 3 on bottom and is wanting table food that he can bite into and chew!!!

The Princess and The Pea

This kids dressed as the Princess and the Pea this year. Hannah had to be a princess, so I came up with the idea and LOVED how they looked. Seth was not a fan of the bunting, but loved his hat!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN to everyone!!!

"Set-Up Tea"

Hannah has begun hosting tea parties in her playroom for all her animal and mommy!! She calls them "set-up tea". I think it is because I told her to go set up the tea party and I would be there shortly and now she refers to it as "set-up tea"!!!
Above: preparing her tea in the kitchen

Dunking things in tea is so much fun!!!

Hannah and Floppy enjoy some tea!

I must say she sets a nice table and doesn't forget anything!!

Even the kitty on the floor was enjoying some tea!
