Super Chapel

Hannah attends a Christian preschool close to our house and last Thursday they had Super Chapel. Every week, the kids have chapel with "The Chapel Lady" and they sing songs and learn biblical stories in a really fun and lively setting. Super Chapel is when they invite the parents in the evening and the kids sing songs and Pastor Shelly does her bible stories for the parents. It was a GREAT time and Hannah did really well. She knew two of the three songs really well!

Seth is 1 month old

Seth is already a month old.... where does the time go?? He is doing well (except for the ear infection he seems to have acquired from his sister and dad)!! He is sleeping anywhere from 3 to 4 hours at a time at night and is eating every two hours during the day! We are beginning to transition to the bottle as I am going back to work in 3 1/2 weeks. His best time of the day is morning and he loves to play on his baby gym!

Hannah is doing GREAT! She is such a help with him when dad is not here. She gets me binky (which he still is not very interested in) and she brings me blankets and burp cloths when I need them!! She always does this and then tells me "I am a great big sister!" She loves to give him hugs and gets so excited when his eyes are open.

Seth tolerates Hannah hugging on him and will occasionally take the binky from her! Both kids are sick right now, but you would never know it - no fever, no attitude changes - only snotty noses and fussy at bedtime!

Seth went to see Dr. E yesterday for his one month check-up! All was great (except the left ear) and Dr. E was pleased with how well he is doing. He did advise to get tough on the bottle feedings since I am going back to work. We go back and see him for two month check-up next month!

Seth weighed 8lbs 3 oz (15th percentile) and was 21 3/8 inches long (40th percentile).

Donuts with Dad

Hannah's preschool had donuts with dad last week and Chris went to eat breakfast with her!! Hannah ate her first donut - she has never wanted anything to do with them when we have given them to her! They had fun ... Here is a pic of them headed off for breakfast....

Trip to the zoo

We took a family outing to the zoo for Hannah's birthday and had a GREAT time. Seth slept most of the time, but Hannah loves our zoo - the membership has paid off!!

Hannah turned 3 already - where does the time go?? Needless to say with a three week old in the house, we catered the party with Italian food from our little Italian eatery around the corner and had a blast watching the kids in the backyard. Hannah had a GREAT time and loved her PRINCESS party.

Siblings!

Hannah is the best big sister there is!! She loves her baby Seth and takes great care of him. She is a little confused as to why he sleeps so much, but loves it when his eyes are open. She is very protective of him and helps mommy with all aspects of taking care of him. The hardest part with her has been being angry with mom and dad, but that has gotten better over the last few days!

Seth is doing well - we went the the pediatrician last week and all is good - we go back on the 24th for his one month check-up. He is doing better at night - usually gives me 1 or 2 three hour stretches. He is one VERY hungry boy - will eat every 2 hours!! He has a very mellow personality (thank goodness)!
