The Princess and The Pea
This kids dressed as the Princess and the Pea this year. Hannah had to be a princess, so I came up with the idea and LOVED how they looked. Seth was not a fan of the bunting, but loved his hat!!
"Set-Up Tea"
Hannah has begun hosting tea parties in her playroom for all her animal and mommy!! She calls them "set-up tea". I think it is because I told her to go set up the tea party and I would be there shortly and now she refers to it as "set-up tea"!!!

The family that plays together.....
In our case, the saying should be --- The family that plays together ends up miserably sick and stuck inside together!!! Yes - the entire family has been sick this weekend. The kids are getting better - stuffy noses and a little cough left. Mom is doing MUCH better, but Dad thought he was going to escape this round and ended up sick last night! So, all our plans to go to the pumpkin patch and our church-wide picnic were cancelled.
OH - and to top it all off - our AC went out, so I am waiting to hear from the company to schedule an appointment for them to come and look at it!!
What a funfilled weekend this was:)

Joyful Noise
We are "thrilled" to inform everyone that Hannah came home from preschool today with a new talent!! Someone at school taught her how to whistle today!!
We could not be more proud (and we cannot invest in enough ear plugs:))!!!!!

"Homework"
Hannah has been insisting on doing homework these days. (I am going to remind her of this when she gets older:)) So, I pulled out all of my teacher crafts and we have been having a blast cutting, coloring, and all sorts of arts and crafts! She makes them for specific people, so be looking in the mail - you may be the recipient of one of her projects!!
Crawling and sitting

6 months old
Seth had his 6 month check-up with Dr. E on October 1!!
Head - 17"
Height - 26 3/4" - 55th percentile
Height - 26 3/4" - 55th percentile
Weight - 14 lbs - not on the growth chart, but to make me feel better Dr. E put him on the 5th percentile
Everything looks great! Dr. E is not concerned about the weight because he continues to grow and is proportionate! Just keep doing what we are doing!
I asked about the crazy skin rash he has been having again and Dr. E thought it might be eczema, but is not sure. Wants us to keep it very moist with lotions and see where we go from there! Crazy thing - did not put anything on him last night or this morning and the rash is gone!!
The only developmental milestone we had not mastered was sitting, but he is getting better and we will continue to work on that whenever we can.
We got the green light for any foods and as much as he will eat! He got all his 6 month shots and we through in the flu shot for good measure! He did great with the shots and stopped crying as soon as he was picked up! He is rolling over and doing some crawling! He loves to be outside and lights up when he sees his sister!! He is grasping objects and moving them from hand-to-hand! He has also started babbling and loves to "talk". He has also learned how to compete with Hannah and will get louder if she talks over him!!!
PACO is 60!!!
Paco turned the big 6-0 on September 16th. We all trekked to Lindale on the 27th for a big family gathering. Ninny, Paco, Aunt April, John, Rory Cate, Uncle Paul, Tiffany, Sydney, Matt, Great Ninny, Aunt Margie, Uncle Mike, Mary, Michelle, Tyler, Samantha, Mark, Uncle Larry and Shelly were all there for the get together. It was the first time all the great-grandkids (minus Candace) had all been together - and of course we did not get a picture of all the kiddos together.
Here are the pics that I did manage to get

This is Tyler - my cousin Michelle's oldest holding Seth (There you go - Tyler you made the blog!!) Tyler was GREAT with all the babies and wanted to hold them all.
Seth is getting some attention from Aunt April, John and Daddy
Hannah and Samantha (Michelle's middle child and only girl) had a BLAST playing together! They wore each other out running and playing!
Tiffany and Seth
Paco had a light that needed to be put up and Hannah was supervising Daddy and Paco to make sure it was done right!!
Update on our crazy lives
September was a CRAZY month for us!! It started off smooth and calm and then Hurricane Ike hit the coast of Texas. Chris was deployed with a group of firefighters from Tarrant County and was sent to Galveston to help with recovery on September 15th. Their assignment ended up that they WERE the Galveston Fire Department for 3 days. They worked alongside the guys running calls, helping clean-up the stations, and doing whatever else they could to help out. The devastation was unbelievable and the pictures are even more unfathomable. (Sorry I cannot share, but they were asked to sign an agreement not to post their pictures)! He returned on Friday the 19th!
While Chris was gone that left me to scramble for childcare arrangements for the week!! Luckily Paco was willing to take off and save me Friday - the one day the babysitter could not help out! I was SO glad to have him home!
The next week was spent dealing with a stressful work environment for myself - but that is finally settling down. Last weekend we went to Ninny and Paco's to finally celebrate Paco's 60th birthday!
I ended up at the dentist office because my crown on my front tooth came off and I had to get that replaced, but I changed dentists and LOVE my new dentist!!
That was September - so here's hoping that October is calmer for us!!!
