Hannah's photo shoot
Hannah started doing her "moves" today while I was taking pictures - thought you all might enjoy - sorry about the lovely splint and hairdo - I have an almost 4 year old who dresses herself now.
The many faces of Seth
Our Graceful daughter
Hannah ended up in the emergency room AGAIN!!
Tuesday night, I was home with the kids by myself because Chris was at work. I was sitting on the couch getting Seth settled down and almost asleep when Hannah begins screaming her head off and crying. I jump up and find her in the hall outside of her ducky bathroom holding her left hand and screaming.
Apparently, she had slammed her hand in the bathroom door. Now - most times I tell her to quit crying and get over it, but she was persistently crying in pain and Hannah does not do that!!
So, I look at her pinky and notice that the finger is already black, so I call Uncle Curtis to come and look. He gets to our house and Hannah will not let him touch it either. Chris comes home and Hannah, Daddy and I head off to the ER - just to be sure it is not broken while Curtis stays with Seth.
We get to the children's hospital and the waiting room is PACKED - of course.... So, I sign us in and Hannah still has not moved the finger and is really complaining. They triage us and the tech tells us she has a elevated blood-pressure - probably due to pain.
So, I begin to think she really did hurt her finger. Another hour of waiting and she is still not moving her finger. Then we get moved back to a treatment area and they do an X-ray. She is now moving the finger with no problems and is climbing on furniture and clapping so now I am thinking this finger is not broken and I just wasted 3 hours of our lives and our co-pay for nothing.
At the moment where I am feeling completely insane for coming in for a pinky finger, the orthopedic doc on call in the ER comes over and says she has in fact broken her finger and refers us to the ortho clinic for follow up!
So, Hannah now has a splint on her left pinky finger and we will see the ortho for the 2nd time in 2 years!!!

Update on our CRAZY lives
I know it has been awhile, so instead of post all the goings on - I thought I would give you a quick synopsis:
-in mid-January we went to the stock show parade with the youngest Babler girls and had a blast!!
-Chris was named firefighter of the year by the Chamber of Commerce
-both kiddos have been sick off and on since Jan. - with two kiddos they seem to pass the sickness back and forth, so luckily (or not - depends how you look at it) they have not been sick at the same time
-Chris and I had a little getaway for Valentine's while Ninny and Paco kept the kiddos - our first night away since Seth was born!
I think that about covers the craziness that has been our lives.
