5 month old

I had not posted about our 5 month old little man recently, so here goes:

He rolls all over the living room and is beginning to get on his hands and knees

He laughs out loud a lot!!

He lights up whenever he sees mom, dad or Hannah

He eats everything you give him - cereal, bananas, squash, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce, green beans

He is the messiest eater I have ever seen - pics to follow!!

He sleeps through the night most of the time

He has two teeth (bottom front teeth)

He loves to be tossed up in the air

He babbles nonstop

He is growing up way to fast

He is a joy to have in our family

Hannahism 8-29-08

We were laying around last night and Hannah was playing with her stuffed animals. Chris asked her, "Can I have your monkey?"

Hannah replied - "You could say please...."

Chris then asked - "May I please have the monkey?"

Hannah's response - "Yes, you may and thank you for saying please."

I am still laughing about it!!!!

I finally got some pictures of Seth with some facial expressions!!! Still no pictures of the teeth, but I am working on it!!

Artwork

I recently decided to add some artwork to my office and since I work with kiddos, I wanted artwork that my kids created! Hannah was SO excited about this and wanted to paint everything we own!! Needless to say - we had a lot of fun.

I took each child's scripture and put it on canvas and then Hannah added her hands and Seth added his footprints! I love having them in my office to look at everyday! The other piece of artwork was ALL Hannah. She picked the colors and she painted it with no help from mom or dad! I must say - we were impressed with her color choices and her ability - maybe there is some hidden talent there!!! Hannah's scripture and handprints! - Look how big she has gotten!!!

Tooth #2

I was bathing Seth this evening and he grabbed my hand and starting chewing on it - I realized he had 2 teeth!! When I left for work this morning there was only one, but by the time I got home there was another one - this is all happening WAY to FAST!!!

Monkey has a tooth

Seth cut his first tooth sometime overnight last night. We had wondered if he was teething because he has been drooling and chewing on things A LOT!!! This morning I went in to get him out of bed and he grabbed my hand and put it in his mouth - as if he was saying "Look what I got mom!!" I cannot believe he already has a tooth! My baby is growing up too fast....

Will post pics as soon as he cooperates and I can get a good picture!!

1st Day as a FROG

Today was the first day of the 08-09 school year at Hannah's preschool. She has graduated to the FROG room and was so excited to go to school! I cannot believe she is already starting her second year of preschool - she is growing up WAY to fast!!

Uncle Danny and Aunt Nina

We went to Uncle Danny and Aunt Nina's house for a visit and Hannah did not want to leave. She was in love with Aunt Nina (sorry Uncle Danny - it seems as though Hannah's allegiance has shifted from Danny to Nina)!! She had a GREAT time swimming in their pool, playing with Shelby and Sarah's dolls and watching movies!

Seth finally got to meet both of them and he enjoyed all the attention he was getting. Thank you Uncle Danny and Aunt Nina for having us over for a wonderful day!!

Employee of the Quarter

Chris was named city employee of the quarter at the city council meeting tonight for April through June. We are SO proud of him and think it is a GREAT honor! We all love you very much and are so proud of the work that you do! You are an amazing gift to us and to your department! Congrats on the recognition!!!

Camping in the Backyard

Hannah has been begging to "camp" in the backyard, so Chris put up the tents and we invited the boys over thinking we stood a better chance of Hannah actually staying outside if they were here. No such luck - as soon as it got dark - Hannah was done with the tents and being outside. She did enjoy smore's with the boys before bedtime.

Here are the boys in their tent looking so excited. They lasted about 30 minutes before they decided it was WAY too hot to sleep outside, so needless to say Chris spent all that time setting up tents and he is the only one who spent the night outside.....

Hannah-ism

Hannah was helping me clean the kitchen this morning and I dropped a bowl of goldfish and it made a HUGE mess! I was a little frustrated and Hannah looks at me and says, "It's okay - accidents happen!" I couldn't help but laugh at that!!!
