Seth Thomas is already 2 months old!! Where did the time go? He went to the doctor for his 2 month check-up this morning and all is well. He met all the developmental milestones and put on a show for Joyce (our favorite nurse at the pediatricians office) - laughing and talking to her. Dr. E was pleased with how well he is doing with sleep - he sleeps from 7:00 pm until 3:00 am and then sleeps until 7:00 am.
Weight was 9lbs 15 oz - 10th percentile
Height 22 3/4 in - 50th percentile
I did talk to Dr. E about it taking him an hour to take a 4 oz bottle. Dr. E recommended trying new nipples - so we are going to go get some new ones and try to see if that helps. He is doing a combo of nursing and formula since I am back at work.
He got 4 shots and the new oral vaccine for the rotavirus. He cried after the first shot, but as soon as I picked him up - all was better. He slept all the way home and then took several naps throughout the day!
He is smiling and babbling especially in the morning. He LOVES the bathtub and we even let him take a dip in Hannah's pool - he was so happy. Hannah hated the bath and pool at this age, so it is great to have a kiddo who loves the water.
Seth is trying to learn how to roll over. He can lift his bottom up and scoot with his feet and he has learned and to scoot forward on his stomach. He almost rolled over in his infant tub yesterday.
The differences between Hannah and Seth are amazing. Hannah was the most content baby and would hang out on her play gym or in the swing while I washed dishes or did laundry. Seth wants to be able to see me at all times. I cannot leave the room without him starting to look for me and whine. He doesn't have to be held, but he needs to be able to see/hear me. I noticed this the other day when I was talking on the other side of the room and he kept turning towards my voice.
Being back at work has been challenging for me. I needed to go back and get things in order for next school year, but I so want to be at home with my babies. Only 2 1/2 weeks left to go!
